Network
Network - Ethernet / Wireless
The network is the backbone of the company's
IT infrastructure. It is therefore essential that focus is pointed
at security and stability, so that the communication is always
intact.
It is important that existing and future
needs are considered, when the company's network is designed.
It must be scalable, so that is may be expanded as the need occurs,
and at the same time that it is capable of handling for instance IP
telephony if expedient.
Edora has great experience when it comes to analysing and
mapping the needs of a company, so that the optimal solution is
chosen the first time around without exensive mistakes. This can be
done in cooperation with you own IT department, where we can be
available with the latest expertise, or we can deliver an total
solution.
The total solution consists of a general analysis, whereafter
the network is implemented and maintained by Edora without
burdening your own IT organisation.
An example of a comprehensive solution is our close cooperation
with Brd. Hartmann A/S.
Edora A/S is a 3Com partner
Through the last many years, we have cooperated with 3Com in
connection with implementation of new data networks. Together with
3Com we have been among the first in Denmark to implement the
Wirelalss LAN Switch concept and contributed in testing new
technologies within wired and wireless networks.
With a Wireless Switch concept it is possible to administrate
the entire wireless network from one central place, whether
is extends one og more geographical LANs. The Wireless Lan
concept is interesting as soon as the total number of
Access Points in an organization exceeds 10 and more and
more interesting the larger the installation.
On the market the present product range comprehends three
Wireless LAN controllers:
For configuration of the wireless network we use the software
"3Com Wireless Switch Manager" where the net is configured across
geographically separated plants, offices and so on. The software
may also be used in connection with planning of the net, as
building diagrammes can be imported and site trays can be
performed.
