Network
Among other things, Edora is cooperating with Brd. Hartmann A/S
on their data
network. At Hartmann's factory in Tønder, we have during a
number of years exchanged an existing Token Ring installation with
a brand new catagory 6 PDS installation. This installation involved
over 35 km of PDS cable and 15 km of fiber, which all in all
supports over 1000 connected units.
The installation supports both administration and production,
which demands much of the reliability. We consequently used backup
lines, so that there is no such thing as 'single point of failure'
anywhere.
Together with the IT department, we are responsible for the
performance of the net and thus for its continuous development.
