The Solution
The developed warehouse management module is a webbased tool,
which controls moving and storage of tyres at all NDI's/SDS's
locations. Further, it manages the different transactions (booking,
receipt, delivery notes and packing slips), which are connected to
the warehouse management process.
If the warehouse management module is combined with an online
booking module, private customers have the possibility of direct
bookiing of an appointment for tyre change and storage at any of
NDI's/SDS's locations. The booking module is also available in a
B2B version, where the access to the module is taking place via a
car dealer's website and can be adjusted to match the brand of the
dealer.
NDI has obtained several advantages by including Edora in the
development of the system. Among these advantages is that the
customer service has improved, as customers by means of the online
booking module are able to freely choose where and when they want
to have their tyres replaced and at the same time at which of
NDI's/SDS's locations they want to have their tyres stored.
At the same time, the overview of the location of the individual
tyre has improved substantially, which has led to cost reductions
for NDI/SDS.
