The Solution
The implemeted solution is an advanced
common planning and resource management system for the entire NDI
concern. The system comprehends customer appointments of the
mechanics and gives NDI/SDS a unique possibility of optimizing
their use of ressources (mechanics, lifts, courtecy cars, i.e.)
among the garages.
The system is web based, updated in real
time and has full integration to NDI's existing financial system
and interface to the online booking module.
The customer may book by telephone, via
an online booking module or via a central call centre. The call
centre can access the calendars of all the garages and book an
appointment based on the request of the individual customer.
If the request of a customer is not be
possible, it is possible for the call centre to book an appointment
at another garage. This allows fast customer service and a more
efficient resource utilization. If the customer books online, the
system automatically allocates the necessary ressources according
to availability.
This project was specified in detail in
close cooperation between consultant fra Edora and representatives
from NDI's IT department.
As platform for the solution we used the
following:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005
- ASP.NET C# Web application
- Microsoft Windows 2003 Server
