System for Self Booking
The National Labour Market Authority wanted to give
unemployed citizens the possibility of increasing their
responsibility in related to booking meetings with the job centres.
As part of the self-service possibilities of Jobnet, The National
Labour Market Authority has chosen to develop the possibilities of
self booking. Via a public tender, Edora was chosen as the supplier
which offered the best solution - and Edora does have experience
with this type of solution.
The advantages are:
- To give the citizens more joint responsibility and influence on
the booking of meetings
- To ease the workload of the job centres in connection with
notices of interviews
- To reduce non-attendances
- Better resource- and time utilisation
- More effective work procedures
The new system for self booking exchanges data with the central
IT systems of The National Labour Market Authority and Jobnet via
web services. When the system has been deployed to all 91 national
job centres, it is expected to handle 2 million meetings a
year.
