DataExchange
In cooperation with the NDI concern, Edora has developed a
solution which once and for all eliminates the widespread issue of
data in different systems being mutually inaccessible. The
challenge that faced us was thus to build a central portal from
where data could be shared everywhere in the organisation by means
of uniform and accessible interfaces.
DataExchange is constructed to ensure data accessibility between
all kinds of systems, comprising not only self developed systems
but also systems developed by a third party. Data can thus be
shared internally as well as externally in the organisation, which
means that data is also made accessible to partners of the
organisation in a safe manner.
The integration potential of DataExchange is limitless. For
example: Webshop, Planner, Online Booking, other self developed
products as well as products developed by a third party.
DataExchange is placed as an extension to the ERP system, while
at the same time functioning as a collection point for the systems
which integrates to it. Thus, functionality and data exchange
across and between the systems is made possible through the
interfaces which DataExchange offers. Should you for instance want
to show warehouse status of a certain tyre type, this information
can be achieved from the ERP system.
The modular structure gives a flexible environment, where
replacement of one component only requires that the interface in
DataExchange is updated. As long as the information which is
transferred is uniform, the systems that use the functionality will
still function without problems.
